Towers of Light . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

March 11, 2002 - TOWERS OF LIGHT

First, I would like to apologize for not updating this site as much as I should have. But recent events, have moved me to come back and say a few words. Last nite, I attended the Towers of Light memorial at ground zero. It was such a moving experience. I was able to get it on film, and will be posting it soon ( for real this time !) The Towers of light, in real life, for those of you who are not able to see them, give a new and what I feel is an intensely sombering, and even obscure feeling. If you view the memorial, it looks nothing like the sketches most of you have seen on the news recently. The two beams of light are blue, and dont look 3 dimensional. This aside, as I stood there in Liberty State Park, along with about 1,000 other overlookers, the silence that nite, was intense, and when about 30mins had passed, people slowly started to walk away. As though, we all felt so weightless, so moved, and speachless. I think the memorial was definitely appropriate, as the beaming lights rushing throughout the new york skyline over one mile into the air, gave us all the impression of something more religious, more heavenly, and more spiritual than other memorials. Many of the victims family's here, were very satisfied. Comparing the beams of light to the souls of the lost. Ground Zero, Hallowed ground, has just connected, the stairway to heaven now visible, for us all.
